Syd Maurer has worked with horses for years and it is her love and adoration of animals that led her to Bradley Nelson's Emotion Code. She provides release of trapped emotions and Reiki for all manner of pets.
It's our job, as caretakers and as receivers of our pets' infinite love, to make sure they are as healthy and happy as possible. Trapped emotions can cause distress that animals have no way of verbalizing, making it impossible for us to know what the problem is. Symptoms of trapped emotions - unusual behavior, illness, aggressive or clingy behavior, depression, change in eating or playing habits, or the intuitive "something's wrong" - can manifest seemingly out of nowhere and leave us at a loss for what to do to help. The Emotion Code can provide relief for a variety of issues by simply removing an energetic imbalance.
Pets do so much for us with nothing more than their presence; providing their companionship, the therapy of touch, reducing anxiety, increasing exercise, boosting vitality, adding structure/routine to our days and, most importantly, providing unconditional love. While they may be one part of our busy, working lives, we compose their entire world; their family, their home, their meals, their baths, their travel... their entire lives revolve around and depend upon their humans. This means that if and when they experience any type of imbalance, it is us who must care for and rehabilitate these innocent and infinitely loving creatures. The Emotion Code and Reiki are effective and uplifting means of caring for our animal friends and both are services that I take great pride and joy in offering.
I've known Syd Maurer for many years. She has trained numerous horses for me, and I have absolute trust in her skills as a trainer and horsewoman. She has a kind, gentle manner around the horses and a keen intuition and connection with each one.Eileen D., Newport, WA
When Syd asked if she could use my gelding, Sampson, as part of her certification program, I agreed immediately. Sampson is a 16-year old Quarter Horse gelding who suffered a serious injury when he was young, and he has limited mobility in one hind leg, as well as some arthritis. He also has a history of colic and underwent a successful colic surgery several years ago. Although we keep him on a good vitamin, joint supplements, and probiotic regimen, he does have some aches and pains, and he can be a little grumpy.
Early this spring, I had Sampson on a lead out on the back of our property to give him a change of scenery and take him for a walk in the woods. My husband and our dogs were with us also. I kept noticing Sampson's lightness and playfulness, which we definitely don't see very often; I remember commenting to my husband, "Sampson's feeling better, look at how well he's moving". Although it was great to see him doing so well, it really didn't dawn on me that the improvements were the results of the sessions Syd was having with him until several days later. Syd has our unconditional permission to come and go on our property and complete access to the horses. She has, on occasion, used Sampson as a lesson horse for young riders; so if he's not at home, we know he's with Syd. Because of this arrangement, we hadn't seen Syd come to work on him.
Later that week, I saw Syd and asked her if she'd been doing therapy on Sampson. She confirmed that she had, and that he had a lot of negative energy, which she had helped him to release. That was really an aha! moment for me, and it definitely made a believer out of me. The improvements we initially recognized and continue to see in Sampson are proof positive that this energy-connection therapy works.
Her passion and compassion for the animals is amazing. Having done this with her gives me a glimpse of how she really connects and has always connected with animals. This has been a great experience and a great partnership between the three of us.Julie H., Mead, WA
